About Spey Building and Joinery

Spey Building and Joinery is based in the Highland village of Kingussie in the Cairngorm National Park and some 45 miles from Inverness.

Our Company has now developed to include a Design and Build service to allow us to help a client from conception to completion.

Our architectural service can guide a potential client through all RIBA stages from:-

• Carrying out an existing survey and creating a brief
• Designing concept drawings
• Planning design documentation/submission
• Building warrant design documentation and submission
• Costing the project
• Refining those costs
• Co-ordinating other consultants (engineers etc)
• Co-ordinating the building works all the way through to handing over the keys

Having architects, project managers and estimators all under one roof ensures both efficiency in time and money for all involved.

Wherever possible we promote the use of environmentally friendly materials and practices and we are able to carry out a range of carpentry in our own specialist workshop.

Our in-house team consists of most trades i.e. joiners, bricklayers/stonemasons, plasterers, painters/decorators, plant operators and ground workers. Staff attend regular training to ensure their skills are up-to-date including in the use of the company’s various plant.

Our office team of Contracts Managers/Quantity Surveyors cost projects and help facilitate works in addition to supporting our dedicated site managers.
